The VOLT WIND is a fall-arrest and work positioning harness with five attachment points, specifically designed for wind turbine technicians. FAST opening buckles make it easy to don with both feet on the ground and DOUBLEBACK self-locking buckles allow for quick adjustment. It is designed to be comfortable, adjustable, and supportive for work at height. The LADDER CLIMB ventral attachment point can be used to connect a trolley and easily and comfortably move along a rail or cable-based fall protection system. Protective plates on the back of the shoulder straps and waistbelt help shield the webbing from friction-induced wear when moving inside a wind turbine tower. Equipment loops and tool holder slots allow the user to organize and carry all the equipment needed for the job at hand.

- The VOLT WIND features protective plates on the back of the shoulder straps and waistbelt to limit wear on the webbing and provide comfort when moving inside a wind turbine tower
- Quick donning and easy adjustments that don’t slip:
– Dons quickly with both feet on the ground
– Waistbelt, sternal point, and leg loops are equipped with FAST opening buckles for quick and easy fastening and unfastening without loss of adjustment, even while wearing gloves
– Adjusting the harness is convenient and easy, with DOUBLEBACK self-locking buckles on the shoulder straps and waistbelt
– Anti-slip devices installed on the DOUBLEBACK buckles help maintain the desired adjustment throughout the workday
Comfortable construction and optimized adjustment system:
– Widely spaced shoulder straps reduce neck chafing
– All contact zones use contoured foam and are lined with breathable material, including the shoulder straps, waistbelt and leg loops, making it more comfortable to work and move around
– Sliding dorsal straps are adjustable, providing more ease of movement and adapting to different body sizes
– Adjustable strap between the dorsal plate and waistbelt allows the harness to be properly positioned
– Semi-rigid waistbelt and leg loops provide optimal support
– Leg loop foam can be repositioned for the perfect fit
– Elasticated leg loop bands (can be replaced by the user, available as spare parts) allow the harness to maintain proper adjustment whether the user is walking or suspended - LADDER CLIMB ventral attachment point:
– For progression along a vertical rail or cable-based fall protection system, allows for ventral attachment of the trolley for better load distribution on the waistbelt
– In the event of a fall, the attachment point automatically moves upward to a sternal position, allowing a vertical post-fall body position - Practical:
– Textile dorsal attachment point for connecting a self-retracting fall-arrest system
– Two textile slots on either side to install a work seat for increased comfort while suspended
– Two side attachment points can be folded down to prevent them from snagging accidentally when not in use
– Shoulder straps are equipped with a lanyard parking system for MGO connectors
– Waistbelt features 2 equipment loops and 2 slots for CARITOOL holder and TOOLBAG pouch to easily organize equipment for the workday
– In the event of a fall on the dorsal attachment point, a red indicator appears, signaling that the harness should be retired - Eco-friendly design: textile components contain at least 55% recycled materials, equivalent to about 30% of the total weight of the harness (this calculation was done using the harness that best represents the VOLT range)
